We collected lot of data, pictures, video, music... from the Gijon Summerlab participants.
Sometimes it was only a picture, a text, meaningful or symbolic for their owners, sometimes it was a source code or a 'HowTo' from hackers or Fablabs...

All this data were saved on a USB key (the deadrops) and encapsulated into a cider bottle.

During our way back from Gijon to Nantes, we took a ferry across the Atlantic and we threw the bottle into the sea.

A kind of Dada's deadrop. An ironic statement about the digital and cybernetic way of life : secure, clean, logic and Cartesian.

Deaddrops in a bottle was suggested by Antoine Bellanger.
